The city of Columbus, Mississippi will celebrate the Fourth of July this year our annual Fireworks on the Water to be held at the Stennis Lock and Dam. Visit Columbus, in partnership with Columbus Air Force Base, United Way of Lowndes and Noxubee, and various other local organizations will be partnering to bring this fun-filled event for the entire family.
In order to make an event of this magnitude a success, we need volunteers who are ready, willing, and able. A big event needs a big group of volunteers. We need 100 volunteers to make this a success.
Tasks range from setting up and taking down tents, vendor support, volunteer tent, children's area supervision, handicapped shuttle, traffic control, parking cars, cleaning up, and other miscellaneous tasks.
Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt, food voucher, front row seat to the fireworks display, and the great feeling that comes from giving back.
