The city of Columbus, Mississippi will celebrate the Fourth of July this year our annual Fireworks on the Water to be held at the Stennis Lock and Dam. Visit Columbus, in partnership with Columbus Air Force Base, United Way of Lowndes and Noxubee, and various other local organizations will be partnering to bring this fun-filled event for the entire family.
In order to make an event of this magnitude a success, we need volunteers who are ready, willing, and able. A big event needs a big group of volunteers. We need 100 volunteers to make this a success.
Volunteers needed per shift to ensure volunteer check-in, receive t-shirts, food, water, and briefing on expected duties. Volunteer tent volunteers should bring their own chair.
Volunteers will receive a free parking pass, food voucher, t-shirt, and front row seats to the fireworks display!
*Note: Volunteer Tent volunteers should make sure to attend one of the MANDATORY Volunteer Training Sessions to be held on Thursday, June 30 at 8:30-9:30 or 5:00 pm-6:00 pm.
