United Way of the Golden Triangle Region is partnering with Toys for Tots, Christian Appalachian Project, and several community organizations to host a Community Giveaway for families in our community. Volunteers are essential to making this event a success by helping create a safe, organized, and welcoming experience for every family we serve.
Volunteer Responsibilities
- Unloading and organizing donated items
- Greeting and directing families
- Assisting with registration and check-in
- Organizing and restocking giveaway items
- Passing out toys and household items
- Managing lines and crowd flow
- Assisting with traffic control and parking
- Helping with event setup and cleanup
Volunteer Opportunities
Tuesday, July 7
- Shift: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Volunteers Needed: 20
- Responsibilities: Help unload the delivery truck, organize donated items, and prepare for the giveaway.
Wednesday, July 8
- Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Volunteers Needed: 50
- Responsibilities: Assist with event operations, distribute giveaway items, help direct traffic, greet families, and ensure the event runs smoothly.
